acceleRATE Summer Housing Move-Out 2025

If you are a current on-campus resident enrolled in Spring Quarter 2025 and you will be enrolled in Summer Session I or II courses, you may apply for the acceleRATE Summer Program for on-campus housing during Summer 2025. Students with acceleRATE Summer Housing Contracts will be living in Seventh College for Summer 2025.

  • Summer Session I acceleRATE Dates & Deadlines:
    • Deadline to apply for a Session I housing contract is Wednesday, June 11, 2025.
    • Move-In is scheduled for Saturday, June 28, 2025.
    • Residents enrolled in SSI classes & summer housing ONLY must move out by 12PM on Sunday, August 3, 2025.
  • Summer Session II acceleRATE Dates & Deadlines:
    • Deadline to apply for a Session II housing contract is Wednesday, July 16, 2025.
    • Move-In is scheduled for Saturday, August 2, 2025.

Summer Session I Move-Out

We hope all of you are taking care of yourselves as Summer Session I is approaching its close! Please read the information below to learn how to successfully move out of Seventh College at the end of Summer Session I.

Important Dates

Please see the important dates related to Summer Session I Move-Out below:

  • Tuesday, July 29, 2025: Express Checkout Form Opens on Summer Housing Portal & Key Drop Off Stations available in Seventh West Building 2
    • Residents enrolled in SSI Housing ONLY may start moving out on this date.
  • Friday, August 1 - Saturday, August 2, 2025: Quiet Hours Enforced for SSI Finals
  • Saturday, August 2 - Sunday, August 3, 2025: Summer Session 2 Move-In
    • Residents enrolled in SS2 Housing ONLY will move in on these dates. Please plan ahead for additional traffic and delays due to increased numbers of residents moving in and out over this weekend.
  • August 3, 2025 at 12PM noon: Summer Session I Move-Out Deadline

Residents enrolled in SSI Courses & Housing only MUST be moved out by the Move-Out Deadline - there are absolutely NO late stays allowed. If you are found remaining in your Seventh space past this deadline, you will be charged and documented through the student conduct process.

Move-Out Instructions

Please follow ALL of the following steps to successfully move out of your Seventh space & avoid any charges or other complications:

Step 1: Clean and Clear Your Space

  • Once you have cleared your belongings from your bedroom and common spaces of your apartment, please assess your space and make sure that it is left clean. As a reminder, please be sure to return dishes, utensils, and Triton2Go reusable containers. You will be charged for any items/trash left behind within your bedroom and/or common spaces.
  • Moving carts are available for checkout to assist with moving out your belongings.
    • Tuesday 7/29 - Friday 8/1: carts are available for checkout outside of the Seventh Residence Life Office in the West Building 2 parking loop.
    • Saturday 8/2 - Sunday 8/3: carts are available for checkout inside of NorthBreak in Seventh West Building 3.
    • Carts are limited in number and will be checked out on a first-come-first-serve basis for one hour at a time. Only Seventh residents are able to check out moving carts and you must provide an ID, other than your student ID, as collateral during your checkout (no high value items such as credit cards, passports).

Step 2: Drop Off Your Bedroom Key

  • First: Collect a Key Packet
    • Collect a blank key packet from the Key Drop-Off station next to the Seventh College Residence Life Office Front Desk, located on the 2nd floor of Seventh West Building 2. You can access the Residence Life Lobby AT ANY TIME, even after the front desk is closed at 9PM, by using your student ID to unlock our lobby doors.
  • Second: Complete ALL Key Packet Information 
    • Please write the following information listed on your Key Envelope: 
      • Name
      • Student PID
      • Date & Time of Key Drop Off
      • Building, Room Number
      • Indication of Key Status
        • If you have lost your bedroom key, you are STILL required to complete a key envelope and indicate that you lost your key.
      • Signature
    • Please put the following inside your Key Envelope:
      • Bedroom Key
        • If you do not return your bedroom key IMMEDIATELY UPON MOVE-OUT, you will be charged $65 for a missing key. 
      • Temporary Keycards
        • ONLY if you still have temporary keycards in your possession that you need to return to our office - DO NOT turn in your Student ID!
  • Third: Drop Off Your Key Packet 
    • Drop your completely filled out and sealed key packet into the Key Drop-Off towers next to the Seventh College Residence Life Office Front Desk, located on the 2nd floor of Seventh West Building 2. Please drop your packet into either the East or West Key Drop-Off tower based on which area of Seventh you lived in.

Step 3: Complete the Express Check Out Form

Complete the "Express Check Out Form" through your Summer Housing Portal.

  • Visit the Undergraduate Summer Housing Portal through the HDH website linked here.
  • Log in with your Student SSO Username and Password.
  • Select the "2025 Summer Housing Processes" drop down menu.
Select "Express Check Out", complete the form and submit.
