Orientation is designed specifically to assist you in learning about campus resources, connect you with other new students, and smooth your transition into Seventh College and UC San Diego.

Seventh College Orientation Experience

New Seventh College students are required to participate in a two-part College orientation experience.*

Part I: Enrollment & Academic Planning Webinar

Offered in early August, this mandatory webinar will be Part I of your Seventh College Orientation experience. Seventh College Academic Advisors will provide information on how to prepare for Fall Quarter enrollment and answer your academic questions. A student panel will also be available to share advice on how to approach your first quarter at UC San Diego.

Part II: Cultivating Connections

This mandatory in-person program aims to introduce you to campus and set you up for success both inside and outside the classroom. Much of the program will be facilitated in small groups led by a Seventh College Orientation Leader. The First-Year program will be offered on September 17th, 18th, 20th, and 21st.
